Hospitality Design Joins Corporate Membership Program at School of Hotel Administration

The School of Hotel Administration (SHA) has announced that premier trade magazine Hospitality Design joined the school's corporate membership program at the president level. For more than 30 years, Hospitality Design has published the accomplishments of design teams that collaborate to bring the most innovative examples of new construction and renovation to the industry. In addition, Hospitality Design links buyers and sellers through various trade shows, conferences, products, services, and awards.

"Hospitality Design is known for innovative meetings and excellence in publishing within the hospitality industry," said Joe Strodel, Jr., director of corporate and foundation affairs at SHA. "We look forward to collaborating with them on our key industry events."

Under the partnership, Hospitality Design will be a platinum sponsor of the third annual Cornell Icon and Innovator Awards Dinner, a gala event that honors industry leaders and serves as a fundraiser for the school's scholarships and programs; a diamond sponsor of two editions of the Dean's Leadership Series, a biannual panel discussion in which academic and industry executives address pressing issues that face hospitality industry; and a platinum sponsor of the sixth annual Cornell Reception at the Americas Lodging Investment Summit. Hospitality Design will also promote the Cornell Icon and Innovator Awards Dinner and the Dean's Leadership Series though online and print advertising and editorial coverage.

SHA will sponsor the 2010 Hospitality Design Exposition and Conference (HD Expo), a preeminent trade show that provides manufacturers the opportunity to reach hospitality design professionals face-to-face, display and introduce products, and build relationships. The school will also be a sponsor of the 2011 Hospitality Design Summit, an exclusive invitation-only conference where top executives in the hospitality design industry gather to exchange visions and ideas for the future, hone their leadership skills, and connect with their industry peers.
