The Center for Real Estate Finance (CREF) at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration welcomes Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels as a new member of the Industry Fellows program. Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels is one of the world's leading hotel investment services firms. The company is comprised of more than 200 hotel specialists, operating from 36 offices in 19 countries, whose expertise ranges from hotel investment sales, valuations, and financing to strategic advisory services, hotel asset management, operator selection, and industry research.
"Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels has a long-standing tradition of supporting the School of Hotel Administration," said Jan deRoos, HVS Professor of Hotel Finance and Real Estate and executive director of CREF. "As a CREF Industry Fellow, the firm will build on this tradition by providing research expertise and database statistics that will help our faculty pinpoint the pricing and investment valuations in hospitality real estate."
Arthur Adler, managing director and CEO-Americas, will represent the company at meetings of the CREF Industry Fellows. Adler heads the Americas division of Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels and specializes in arranging hotel market transactions, financing, investment advisory services, and asset management for domestic and offshore hotel owners and investors.
"The Center for Real Estate Finance adds tremendous value to our industry, and we are excited to partner with the center to advance its mission," said Adler.
The CREF Industry Fellows program is the cornerstone of the center's outreach efforts. The program helps fund the annual Cornell Real Estate Case Competition, seminars on current industry topics, student travel to real estate investment conferences, as well as faculty research. The most recent meeting of the Industry Fellows was held in June in conjunction with the NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference in New York City.
