International media and news organization France 24 is the newest corporate partner of the Cornell School of Hotel Administration (SHA). Over the course of the three-year agreement, France 24 will provide financial support to the school and serve as a sponsor of two editions of the Dean's Leadership Series, the annual Cornell Icon of the Industry Awards Dinner held in June in New York, and the annual Cornell Reception at the Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS) held in January in San Diego.

"Corporate partners are essential to the school, providing financial support, recruiting graduates, sponsoring events, and extending outreach," said Joe Strodel, director of corporate and foundation affairs at SHA. "We are excited to expand our global footprint by partnering with France 24, one of Europe's leading international media companies."

France 24, which launched in 2006, is a 24/7 international news channel whose mission is to cover international current events from a French perspective and to convey French values throughout the world. Funded by the French government and based in Paris, the channel has more than 260 journalists and broadcasts world news in English, Arabic, and French.
