Center for Real Estate Finance Welcomes Real Capital Analytics to Industry Fellows Program

Jun 02, 2010

International research and consulting firm, Real Capital Analytics, has joined the Center for Real Estate Finance’s (CREF) Industry Fellows program at the Cornell School of Hotel Administration.

“Real Capital Analytics consistently provides comprehensive, applicable data for the commercial real estate industry, making it a natural partner for CREF,” said Jan deRoos, HVS International Professor of Finance and Real Estate and executive director of the center. “Working together, we will be able to provide the real estate industry with the most up to date data and influential research findings.”

Real Capital Analytics is a global company, with offices in New York City, San Jose, The Hague, and London. The firm’s investment market data and analysis is relied upon by all segments of the real estate community, from buyers and developers to brokers and lenders. Real Capital Analytics reports, Global Capital Trends™ and US Capital Trends, are quoted regularly in industry news.

Robert White, president of Real Capital Analytics, will represent the firm at meetings of the CREF Industry Fellows. White was named one of National Real Estate Investor magazine’s “Ten to Watch” in 2005, Institutional Investor’s “20 Rising Stars of Real Estate” in 2006, and Real Estate Forum’s “10 CEOs to Watch” in 2007. He is a counselor of real estate, a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and a fellow of the Homer Hoyt Institute. He is also a member of numerous industry organizations and a supporter of academic studies.

“CREF and Real Capital Analytics are two leaders in real estate industry research,” said White, “and through this partnership, we will generate information that is drawn from both an academic and an industry perspective.”

The CREF Industry Fellows program is the cornerstone of the center’s outreach efforts. The program helps fund the annual Cornell Real Estate Case Competition, seminars on current industry topics, student travel to real estate investment conferences, as well as faculty research. The next meeting of the Industry Fellows will be held in June in conjunction with the NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference in New York City.
