Dean's Leadership Series to Examine EMEA Marketplace

A panel of leading hospitality executives will discuss “Recovery Ahead: Hospitality and Real Estate Investment in the EMEA Marketplace” at the sixth edition of the Dean’s Leadership Series, presented by the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration (SHA). The panel discussion will be held Thursday, May 6, at Le Méridien Etoile in Paris, France, at 6:30 p.m. A dinner will follow at 8:00 p.m.

“This is our first international edition of the Dean’s Leadership Series,” said Jon Denison, associate dean for external affairs at SHA.  "We are excited and honored to present a great line-up of panelists who lead some of the most important hospitality brands in Europe."

Michael D. Johnson, dean and E. M. Statler Professor at SHA, will moderate the discussion. Panelists include Puneet Chhatwal, senior vice president and chief development officer, the Rezidor Hotel Group; Martin Kandrac, managing director, Blackstone Group; Russell Kett, managing director, HVS London; Kirk Kinsell, president, EMEA, InterContinental Hotels Group; Grace Leo, president and owner, GLA Hotels; and Nick Turner, vice president, business development, RCI.

The Dean’s Leadership Series, which provides a platform for industry leaders to discuss the most important topics facing hospitality today, was established in November 2007. Previous editions of this series have attracted over 270 hospitality executives and members of the press in New York, Washington, D.C., and Orlando.
