FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
New Friends Will Assist Cornell Center for Hospitality Research

Berkshire Healthcare and Mindshare Technologies Become CHR Friends

Ithaca, NY, November 4, 2009 – Two diverse companies have joined Cornell's Center for Hospitality Research as friends of the center. The new friends are Berkshire Healthcare, which operates rehabilitation and nursing facilities in three states, and Mindshare Technologies, which provides operational and customer feedback for more than 25 industries, including travel, hospitality, restaurant, financial, and retail. Both organizations will be donating data to support the center's ongoing research projects.

Friends of the center provide critical assistance for research activities, including material support, expert services, and shared data. "Our friends have been essential for expanding both the depth of our research and our ability to share research findings," noted Jennifer Macera, associate director of the Center for Hospitality Research. The center's friends roster comprises more than forty companies.

Based in Massachusetts, Berkshire Healthcare is a mid-size healthcare and senior-services company that is the largest nonprofit, long-term care company in Massachusetts. Berkshire owns or operates 17 rehabilitation and nursing facilities (14 in Massachusetts, one in Ohio, and one in Pennsylvania), a community based hospice, and Kimball Farms, a life-care retirement community in Lenox, Massachusetts. More information is available at www.berkshirehealthcare.org.

Mindshare focuses on promoting its clients' operational excellence to foster consumer satisfaction, build customer loyalty, and support employee retention. Using proprietary survey technology, Mindshare captures the voice of the customer in real time, using that intelligence to create flexible, useful surveys and reports tailored to each company's specific needs.
