Louis Hellebusch is a Managing Director and the Co-General Counsel of GEM, which he joined in 2010.  Mr. Hellebusch works on structuring, documenting, and closing transactions for GEM Realty Properties, and legal and due diligence matters for GEM Realty Securities.  Mr. Hellebusch co-chairs GEM’s charitable contributions committee.  Prior to joining GEM, Mr. Hellebusch was a lawyer in the Real Estate Practice Group at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and prior to that was a legal assistant in the Real Estate Practice Group at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.  Mr. Hellebusch received his Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School in 2006 and a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from Columbia University in 2001.
